18/18 Done.

  • Cinematic documentary-style photo of Colin Indermaur in Swiss military camouflage during the final chapter of his mandatory service with the Swiss Armed Forces, standing in front of a large formation of comrades during the end of Infantry School 19. The image captures the scale and atmosphere of a completed military chapter, with dramatic alpine mountains in the background, a Swiss flag and unit flag centered behind the group, and a moody, emotional sense of closure. This moment reflects his role as an MP Grenadier and the contrast between a previous life of freedom, travel, and creative movement and the intense structure, discipline, and endurance of military service. The composition feels cinematic, premium, and deeply human, documenting a transformative period defined by pressure, resilience, teamwork, and personal growth.

The last 4.5 months of my life looked very different from how it ever had before.

I completed my military service with the Swiss Armed Forces as an MP-Grenadier. Now, that chapter is over - and looking back, it was an incredible time.

I learned things I never would have learned anywhere else. I made memories with comrades in both good and also very bad times. I learned what it means to "enjoy the the pain" and still push through.

These 18 weeks were hard. Early mornings, long days and a level of intensity you cannot really cope unless you’ve experienced it yourself.

At the same time, I’m very thankful for the trust I was given in the special function as a social media soldier. Creating content for our company and helping document a part of the military that usually stays hidden.

Now that this chapter is complete, I don’t just look at it as service. I look at it as another version of myself I had to step into for a while.

And all the experiences and learnings from it - I’ll carry with me.
